why I Love Nixos

this is mostly a rant on why i find nixos so cool, i don’t want to convince anyone to use it. especially a beginner.

Nixos for those who don’t know is a Linux distribution based on the Nix package manager and the Nix Programming language. Its main philosophy being a declarative, reproducible system.

i love Nix cause it solves my anxieties about other Operating Systems. weather it’s windows, macos or other linux distros, i always had this fear of breaking my system. with Nix, i can just write a configuration file that describes my system, and if something breaks, i can just roll back to a previous configuration. this gives me a lot of peace of mind.
