different layers: you can hold a key to access a different layer. for example, holding the space bar could give you access to arrow keys or media controls. this allows you to keep your hands on the home row while still having access to all the functionality you need.

Different layouts: there are different keyboard layouts like QWERTY, Dvorak, Colemak, etc. each layout is designed to optimize typing efficiency and reduce finger movement. switching to a different layout can take some time to get used to, but it can ultimately lead to faster and more comfortable typing. i use colemak but with some modifications to fit my needs. you can see my layout and layers here

split keyboards: i haven’t had the chance to try one yet but split keyboards can help reduce strain on your wrists and shoulders by allowing you to position each half of the keyboard at a more natural angle. they can also be more compact and portable than traditional keyboards.
And they look really cool too!
